THE GUIDE: GROUNDED GODDESS KITCHEN

 am so smitten with the pastel-hued potions that Jess of the Grounded Goddess Kitchen concocts. These are not mere smoothies but powerhouses of balanced bowls to harness our inner Artemis + fire away into the new day arising. Here is Jess's vibrant guide to shoot into the day with higher vibrations . . .

Growing up, breakfast was a non-negotiable in my household. And I’m thankful for that.This unspoken “rule” taught me to prioritize starting my day in the best possible way.

Breakfast is a great time to get centered, and enjoy anywhere from five to twenty minutes to yourself – with minimal distraction. It’s a great time to notice where your energy levels are, how you’re feeling, where head’s at (are you excited for the day ahead, or already dreading it?) and to do something nice for yourself by providing exactly what your body needs upon waking.

If you’re not already a breakfast person, I encourage you to make an effort to have something of substance before you start your day. Whether that’s an apple with unsalted, crunchy almond butter, or a bowl of comforting oatmeal with fruits, nuts and ground flaxseeds, or perhaps a smoothie bowl (my personal favorite!) loaded with healthy fats, beautifying fruits and the superfoods of your choosing. Go with what you’re craving!


If you’ve never tried a smoothie bowl before, let me walk you through the incredibly grounding effects this well-rounded breakfast has to offer:
You can load smoothies with antioxidant-rich fruits, proteins, and even veggies – if you’re up for it! If you can’t squeeze veggies in at lunch, at lease you’ll know you were able to get some in beforehand. It’s a win, win.


They’re also the perfect base for adding just about anything you’d like (I’m talking coconut water, chia seeds, protein powder, frozen fruit, dates, tahini, herbs and spices – just to start). The sky’s truly the limit here.

Lastly, they’re fun to decorate, which in and of itself slows you down and sometimes, that act of care and compassion translates into a breakfast you can feel really (really!) good about eating. Below, I’ve broken down one of my favorite recipes for you to enjoy!





I N G R E D I E N T S 
1 cup unsweetened almond milk | preferably homemade + sprouted
1 cup frozen raspberries | preferably organic
¼ avocado
1 tbsp plant based protein powder | hemp is an incredible option
1 tsp maca | preferably gelatinized and sourced sustainably


Blend away!

T O P P I N G   I D E A S
Additional berries
Chia seeds
Unsweetened coconut flakes
Raw sprouted almond butter or other nut butters
Granola | bonus points if homemade!
