Gripped by the hands of desire, we often clench onto wishful outcomes. We envision, manifest, and cultivate a microcosm spun out of and around what we want. We have come to believe that if our desires are cultured in the phenomena that positive thinking and manifestation have become, that they must be realised. We consequently shrug our shoulders and turn up our noses at the thought of unfulfillment.

Yet, the subconscious is calculative through years of programming in its approach of our desires. It is aware of the possibility of disappointment and arms itself against it. When we shield our vision away from facing disappointment and tunnel it to only focus on the hopeful, we let the mind be guided rather than guiding the mind. What we avoid in return controls us.

To truly manifest is to attract what will universally serve us most highly, whether that is what we have envisioned or not. When we speak our desires to the Universe, we must do so with open arms that embrace both the desired outcome and the disappointment.

It is only when we open up this way—when we are sharp and direct with our wishes—that we flow into the reality of the situations we face. We become a sanctuary for ourselves rather than a container for various outcomes that may and do happen to us. This week, let's be a container for ourselves and hold space for all that can entre into our lives . . .
