SPIRITUAL SMACK: THE MOMENTUM

S P I R I T U A L   S M A C K  |  T H E   M O M E N T U M

Are you driving or being driven? Is your drive in the momentum or your own foot controlling the pedal? In speeding to your desired destination, have you swerved into a direction out of the left field? Are you finding yourself in a tunnel of unforeseen visions and hallucinations of what ought to be? And you’re searching for the blush glow at the end—a simultaneous exit and an entry. What gates are you trying to open and which are the ones you’re departing from?

In our aimed travels, we may find ourselves speeding towards an offbeat path. A dirt road pebbled with the skeleton of another you. To move from one place to another in haste is to leave a closet open—a door left ajar through which the wind will always blow reminders of a past you onto your divergent path. It’ll pull you into its current to cycle you back, back, back to its doors until your arrival.

A physical move from one location to another requires a packing, and so does an an emotional one. Take the bow off the package of your vision and see its contents. To achieve a goal or growth, we must first unpack ourselves. You may see your directed vision clearly, but what direction are your current actions propelling you towards? Are you aligned or are your habits bound to break you away from the road? What is motioning you towards your goal or treading of newfound lands?

To set out onto a new direction, we must first engage the force that is gearing us. We may envision a new path not in steady ground and understanding of where we are but in the haste of where we want to be. It is only through the reflection of the force behind our actions and consequently desires that we can achieve momentous momentum—a drive for and towards ourselves.
